Foreword by Angeles Arrien PhD

The Mill House Speaks: Seven Pathways to the Ancestral Basque Homeland

"The Seven Pathways, although rooted in Basque mysticism, reflect the universal mysticism of all people. These pathways decode the common mystical experiences of ancient cultures into an understandable, concrete and practical map for navigating the complexities of today’s modern world".

 - Angeles Arrien, PhD, Cultural Anthropologist

Basque Spiritual Traditions

We returned to my father's ancestral homeland in the Basque Country to research Basque folklore, to discover that all parts of the journey to rebuild Papa's Mill House are united as one, just like the ancient Basque House, the center of Basque spiritual tradition.

A Map for Future Generations

In its entirety, The Mill House Speaks is a guided journey of living folklore, both memoir and storytelling, for my children and future generations, to pass on the enduring wisdoms of the human spirit.

Seven Pathways to the Ancestral Basque Homeland

The Seven Pathways are an integration of this universal ancestral journey-a road map of living Basque folklore, connected to the major areas of life, with life lessons from nature and perennial wisdoms, daily life actions (sun), character attributes and inner qualities (moon), the cycles of seasons and everyday tools for building one's life dream.
